Proposal on Smart Planning

The RIO CaRRP team has developed a proposal on developing a statewide, integrated planning system titled Recovering from the Storms, Planning for the Future: A Safer, Smarter, Stronger Iowa.

Based upon proposed Iowa Smart Planning Principles, this document outlines a framework for a local, regional and statewide planning process, including a Plan of Action with comprehensive, priority strategies.

Your feedback to the proposal is requested.
Please download this Word version of Appendix H as a means of participating in the process of developing a meaningful planning process for Iowa.

The proposal is also being used to support the work of the Water Resources Coordinating Council Subcommittee on Flood Plain Management.
