Recovery Planning
Focused on recovery & rebuilding of Iowa’s disaster-struck communities, the Community and Regional Recovery Planning (CaRRP) team of the RIO serves to connect local leadership with resources to help with long-term planning and implementation of disaster recovery strategies.
Information to assist with the development of long-term planning can be found below.

EPA Smart Growth - The RIO is partnering with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED), which will bring smart growth assistance to five Iowa communities devastated by the natural disasters of 2008.
